NAME: Strontium Hydroxide Octahydrate

Physicochemical Properties: Colorless crystallization or white powder. Has deliquescence. Be carbonate after absorbing carbon dioxide in the air. 100 lose partial crystal water. Dissolve in hot water and alcohol, slightly soluble in cold water. Aqueous solution assumes alkalescence, PG value approximately 13.5. Relative density 1.9. Melting point 375 (anhydrous substance, in hydrogen stream).Relative molecular mass: 265.76.

 

Applications and Usages: Used for preparation of diversified potassium salt, purification of beet sugar and separation of crystallizing sugar in sirup.
